About Me
Hello, I’m Emma.
I passionately believe in the power of storytelling to help create meaningful communications, for both brands and their audiences.
Whether I’m curating a brand enhancing editorial calendar, developing digital campaigns that connect people to a company's purpose, or rooting out the nuggets that make employees excited to come to work; creative content creation is what gets me out of bed in the morning.
My experience spans editorial management, digital and social media, public relations and internal communications. I am also a Certified Digital Marketing Professional.
I’m a regular blogger and micro-blogger, contributing to leading UK online resources including Huffington Post, Rock My Wedding, and Rock My Style. I co-founded Year of the Yes, a campaign for positive thinking that encourages people to try new things, push their limits and live life to the full.

My passion for storytelling extends into my hobbies as well; I have been a ferocious reader for as long as I can remember but recently I've also started crafting my own stories, using lockdown to finally embark on my first novel attempt. Owning the editorial and content strategy for internal and external channels, ensuring tone of voice, message and business strategy alignment across all content. Providing project management oversight to ensure content optimisation across global channels and a local market network.
Global Digital Communications Manager (interim)
May 2018 - June 2019
12 month maternity cover. Responsible for Avon's corporate online presence, including social media and website. Playing a pivotal role in maximising reach and impact of Avon's external engagement programme globally. This included developing and launching Avon's first global corporate social media strategy, and managing a full redesign of the corporate website.
